oreign Language World, edited by Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) was listed in “The Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China in 2014” (Top 5%), ranking 27th in the category of humanities and social sciences.
The result was released in the Annual Report for International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals 2014, a project by the China’s Research Center for Scientific Literature Evaluation and Measuring, China Academic Journals Electronic Publishing House, and the Library of Tsinghua University. It was published online via China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database (CNKI.NET).
Over 14,400 journals were assessed this year, out of which 470 were enrolled in the final list. The report initiated a “clout index” (CI), calculated by annual international total cited frequency and international citing impact factor with statistical analysis. Top 5% (175 kinds of journals in science, technology and medicine and 60 kinds of journals in humanities and social sciences) were awarded “2014 Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China”.
