SISU partners with University of Toronto to advance G20 studies

Prof. John Kirton and Ms. Madeline Koch, co-directors of the G20 Research Group of the University of Toronto (UT) visited Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) early this month.

To strengthen the cooperation in G20 studies between UT and SISU, they had a symposium with the faculty of SISU’s School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA).

Prof. Guo Shuyong, dean of SIRPA, gave the delegation a reception on behalf of the school and introduced the latest development of SISU’s G20 studies. Guo elaborated on the university’s interdisciplinary initiatives between political science and language studies.

During the symposium, Prof. John Kirton made a presentation on G20 and global governance. He also shared his views on the future cooperation with SISU in exchanging students, publishing academic journals and holding conferences.
