Rector of Belgium's College of Europe visits SISU to enhance educational ties

The Rector of Belgium’s College of Europe recently visited SISU to promise more support for educational exchanges between China and Belgium that include SISU.

The Rector Jörg Monar, who met with Jiang Feng, Chair of SISU’s University Council,emphasized a good command of EU affairs and projected academic collaborations with SISU in European studies.

Jiang said that SISU’s achievements in European studies, with an emphasis on European Union (EU) studies and UK studies, are attracting increased attention of global academia. Jiang added that SISU has a degree program now, Chinese Studies, fully delivered in English for international students.

Qi Hua, associate professor from SISU’s Center for European Union Studies, reviewed his bridge-building visits to the College of Europe, and briefly introduced SISU’s Center for European Union Studies.

Located in Bruges, the College of Europe is a postgraduate educational institution focusing on studies of European affairs, with majors in European Economy, European Legislation, European Administration and European Foreign Affairs.

The Chinese president Xi Jinping visited the College of Europe on April 1, 2014, and spoke to the College’s students and teachers about China-EU relations.
