University of San Diego Business School visits SISU to deepen partnership

  • The representatives of two universities  exchanged views and reached an agreement about further discussion and signing contracts as the next step.




Professor Jaime Alonso Gómez, Dean of Business School of University of San Diego, and Dr. Denis Dimon, Director of International Affairs of the University, paid a visit to SISU on early this March. Professor Zhang Feng, Vice President of SISU, met them as the SISU representative. Both sides exchanged their ideas on deepening of international cooperation between two universities.

Zhang introduced to the visitors the history and academic development of SISU, mode of education as well as its going global strategy. He also provided a detailed explanation of SISU’s idea of academic cultivation of international talents.

“SISU regards the education internationalization as the core developing strategy and will carry out international communication and corporation actively,” he pointed out.

Zhang also said that SISU’s School of Economics and Finance has insisted on the multi-disciplinary and internationalized direction. In that respect the School is devoted to training of high-end financial talents through the “multi-lingual economic platform”. He voiced hope that SISU and University of San Diego will succeed in enhancing the corporation in the future.

Professor Jaime Alonso Gómez and Dr.Denis Dimon thanked Professor Zhang Feng for the SISU’s warm reception. They introduced the development of University of San Diego and its Business School, as well as the current situation with the international education in the University of San Diego. They also showed their willingness to deepen the cooperation between SISU and the University of San Diego by way of the students and visiting scholars exchange program, joint training program, and research collaboration.

Later Professor Gómez delivered a targeted speech on the students exchange program and summer school program for SISUs postgraduate students specialized in finance. He analyzed in details the advantages of the teaching mode that University of San Diego’s international programme offered, providing real examples of its high competitiveness for students.
