About The Office

The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange functions as a gateway to internationalization of Shanghai International Studies University. The office provides assistance to faculty, students and staff on international affairs, and serves as a source of information about SISU’s global engagement.

Overview
  The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange is responsible for developing coherent solutions to promote SISU’s international relations, global profile and international competitiveness. The work of the office is broad. It includes but is not limited to such issues as SISU's approach to:

  • promoting engagement with other countries / regions
  • international collaborations (research, education, conferences, and organizations)
  • coordinating diplomatic contacts with and makes representations to relevant countries and regions
  • foreign experts recruitment and service
  • Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan affairs
  • promoting Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools
  • international educational and internship experiences for students

The Office can provide information, advice and guidance to colleagues within the University on key countries and regions, existing collaborations with overseas institutions and opportunities being developed for international engagement.

The office also provides information to outside contacts and often acts as a first point of contact for overseas institutions wishing to visit SISU in order to discuss potential future collaborations at the institutional level.
