Mr. Rolando García Alonso, the newly-appointed Consulate General of Mexico at Shanghai, and Mr. Yúriko Luisa Garcés Lee, the vice consul general of Mexico visited SISU on May 2, 2012. They were greeted by Prof. Cao Deming, President of SISU and Prof. Zhang Hongling, director of OICE, Prof. Lu Jingsheng, dean of College of Western Languages and Prof. Yu Man, vice dean of College of Western Languages.

President Cao introduced SISU to the visitors, as well as the ongoing cooperation programs between SISU and Mexican institutions. He sincerely hoped to strengthen exchange programs that would benefit both sides.

Mr. Consulate General appreciated the warm welcome from SISU and expressed support to President Cao’s proposal. He promised to help facilitate SISU’s research programs on Mexican and Latin American studies, and introduce scholars to deliver lectures on Mexican culture at SISU. Both sides agreed to share cultural and educational resources and develop future cooperation programs.
