Summary: Setting TV anime precedent, creating hundreds of anime works, Osamu Twzuka was enthusiastic about anime creation, while Miyazaki Hayao realized the organic integration of market benefit and deep thinking by exploration of anime movie. Therefore, it can be imagined Miyazaki Hayao's respect for Osamu Twzuka. “He has energy two times more than ordinary people and has done two times more than ordinary people.” Meanwhile, we can't deny the divergence between Osamu Twzuka and Miyazaki Hayao. “Up to now, all that praised highly by Miyazaki Hayao are wrong.” Miyazaki Hayao thought learning from Disney made Osamu Twzuka lose his own independence.
Speaker Biography: Yang Xiaolin is the director of Institute of Film Studies at Tongji University. He is also the vice president of Shanghai Association for Television and Drama Studies. As a scriptwriter, he has published a range of works in film studies, including Anime Master Miyazaki Hayao.
