The University of Leeds’s Delegation Visited SISU’s School of English Studies

On March 19, Professor Emma Cayley, Head of the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies at the University of Leeds, visited the School of English Studies at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), accompanied by a colleague. The two parties engaged in constructive discussions regarding potential areas of collaboration, laying a solid foundation for a substantive partnership in the future.

Founded in 1904, the University of Leeds is a comprehensive public research university. It is consistently ranked among the world’s top 100 universities and is one of the renowned Red Brick universities in the UK.

During the meeting, both sides expressed a strong interest in pursuing comprehensive cooperation in areas such as educational resource sharing, joint research initiatives, and academic exchange. In particular, we looked forward to establishing long-term mechanisms for collaboration in joint postgraduate training and doctoral student exchange programs, with the aim of advancing international talent development and research innovation.
