Seven representatives from the Thammasat University, Thailand and the Charoen Pokphand Group visited Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) on March 22, 2017 to promote university-enterprise coalition and academic communication.
SISU President Cao Deming appreciated Thammast University's contribution to SISU’s Thai language major and its considerate service for SISU students studying abroad there.
Cao introduced SISU’s educational vision of cultivating multilingual talents with international expertise, emphasizing that furthering cooperation with Thammasat University is crucial to prepare talents mastering the Thai language and Southeast Asian studies.
He also appreciated the support by the Charoen Pokphand Group and proposed a deepened cooperation on academic communication and university-enterprise coalition.
Pornchai Trakulwaranon, Vice-President of Thammasat University, said that Thammasat University enjoys a high reputation in Thailand and the both sides can explore possible new areas of teaching and research cooperation, such as law and business management.
Li Shaozhu, senior vice-chair of Thailand Charoen Pokphand Group, said that the group will serve as a connection between the two universities to promote eductaional communication between China and Thailand.
