SISU scholar in sign language appointed reviewer for Deafness & Education International

    SISU scholar Lin Hao (sign language) was appointed reviewer of this journal.

in Hao, a professor of sign language at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), was invited as a reviewer by International academic journal Deafness & Education International, marking Chinese scholars join international academic community of sign language.

Lin studies on linguistics of sign languages, deaf culture and policies of sign languages. He works for SISU’s Institute of Linguistics and National Research Center for Foreign Language Planning and Policy.

Deafness & Education International, issued four volumes a year, enjoys well reputation among academia of deaf education and becomes a recognized journal under the trend of Specialization and systematization of researches on sign language.

The journal focuses on deaf education, deaf children’s cognitive developments, linguistics of sign language, deaf culture and other related issues that impact deaf children and young people.  The chief editors of the journal are Prof. Margaret Brown from The University of Melbourne and Prof. Rachel O'Neill from University of Edinburgh.
