项目简介
上海外国语大学本科生在本校完成本科前三年的课程，第四年有条件录取为美国肯特州立大学研究生一年级，在本科第三年完成后，如果学生有上海外国语大学的本科学分仍未完成，则使用研究生一年级所修的学分转换为本科四年级的学分。如果学生所学专业本科毕业有毕业论文或毕业设计的要求，学生需通过远程交流的形式与论文的导师保持联系，并根据上海外国语大学及各院系的要求和时间节点完成这项毕业要求。学生从上海外国语大学获得本科学位后，继续在美国肯特州立大学完成研究生二年级的学分，达到毕业标准后获得美国肯特州立大学研究生学位。
肯特州立大学简介
肯特州立大学（KentState University）是中国教育部首批认可推荐的美国公立大学。学校位于美国俄亥俄州东北部，毗邻五大湖区的伊利湖，目前是俄亥俄州规模第二大的研究型、综合性大学。肯特州立大学由九个校区构成，是全美最大的地方性教育体系之一。2013年在校学生约43000人，其中主校区的学生约28000人。目前国际学生约2400名，来自100个不同国家，中国留学生约900人。肯特州立大学提供涵盖文、理、商、艺术、新闻传播、应用工程、教育、建筑和室内设计、时装设计和营销、航空等各类学科的专业与方向。

* TOEFL ITP（Institutional TOEFL Program）指的是肯特州立大学在上海外国语大学组织的校考托福考试。
**没有GMAT考分的学生需要在入学后2015年12月20日前参加考试，建议被录取的学生在2015年的暑假准备，并在暑假完成考试。
Students will need to take the GMAT byDecember 20 of the Fall semester that they start. Students will encourage themto take it in the summer before they arrive. Students may take 9 hours ratherthan 12 that first semester to allow time to prepare for the test. There is aGMAT prep course in the Fall that they will have the option to take. KSU willput a scheduling hold on the students when they arrive after they register forFall classes and they will not be able to schedule for classes in Spring until theyshow KSU proof that they have scheduled the GMAT. If they don’t do well, we’llhave to let them continue in Spring, with the condition of a retest and showimprovement. If they don’t, or don’t improve in some measure, students will bedismissed after the Spring term of their first year.

2014年11月：
KSU到SISU进行3+2项目宣讲，介绍学校信息、3+2项目及申请流程
2014年12月
有意向的学生可开始报名参加Institutional TOEFL考试，考试费用为每人25美金，SISU在报名时代收考试费
有意向的学生亦可报名托福iBT或雅思考试，这些都是KSU申请时认可的语言成绩
有意向报名3+2项目的学生可开始考虑准备申请材料
春季学期
2015年1月第一周：
Institutional TOEFL考试报名截止
所有意向报名3+2项目的学生可开始准备申请材料
2015年3月中下旬：
KSU在SISU组织InstitutionalTOEFL考试
Institutional TOEFL考试后一到两周内，阅卷完毕，考生将获知考分
学生可参照KSU研究生申请流程和KSU-SISU 3+2项目网页准备申请材料：http://www.kent.edu/china和www.beijing.kent.edu/programs_XISU.html（到时网站将开放），推荐使用扫描件申请形式。
确认参加3+2项目的学生提交完整的申请材料PDF扫描件（所有申请材料原件需到校确认）给SISU老师
2015年3月底：
KSU老师在收到后三个个工作日内，完成对申请材料的初审
如学生申请材料不完整或有错误信息，KSU老师将联系SISU，学生作相应的材料补充或修改
所有申请材料完整后，KSU老师将发送给负责各研究生专业的老师，他们将尽快处理学生申请，所有来自上海外国语大学学生的材料将享受优先处理权，研究生录取一般需要6-9周的时间
2015年5月中下旬：
学生获知录取结果，如被录取，将收到录取通知书和签证表（I-20表），学校将收到邮寄的录取包裹
2015年5月下旬至6月初：
学生准备赴美F-1学生签证材料，并与美使馆预约签证时间
2015年6月初至7月中旬：
学生进行美国F-1学生签证面签
KSU中国代表处派老师到SISU进行行前准备会Pre-departureOrientation（暂定），帮助学生了解赴校学习细节，并解答学生疑问
2015年8月下旬：
学生参加International Student Orientation，并将申请材料原件到校确认
3+2项目学生开始在肯特州立大学研究生第一学期的课程
毕业要求
学生从美国肯特州立大学毕业，需要维持平均绩点GPA 3.0或以上，并完成各自专业规定的例如毕业论文等要求（依专业不同而不同）。学生应在肯特州立大学就读期间始终保持GPA3.0以上，以确保可以顺利毕业。所有参加3+2项目的学生第一年将被肯特州立大学考虑“有条件录取”，录取的条件是学生必须在研究生第一年（项目的第一年）结束时获得上海外国语大学的本科学位，该录取条件满足后，第二年方可被允许研究生学籍注册。
研究生奖学金
参加3+2项目的学生由于第一年是有条件录取的研究生，因此无法申请研究生奖学金。第二年可以申请研究生奖学金，具体信息可以在研一年级下半学期咨询导师。
研究生奖学金种类：助研奖学金/ResearchAssistantship，助教奖学金/Teaching Assistantship，办公室助理奖学金/AdministrativeAssistantship，学生需要每周为导师/办公室工作20小时左右，做助教（例如带一门本科生基础化学实验课）、助研（例如将俄语的学术文件翻译成英文）或办公室助理（例如策划国际学生活动）。
给奖金额：研究生（硕士和博士）一般为全奖，即学费全免，再根据工作级别，每两周发送一次津贴（Stipend）。奖学金一般都会覆盖春秋两个主学期，部分院系提供夏季奖学金，具体可咨询院系。
给奖单位：各院系研究生院（例如化学系、液晶研究所）或学校职能办公室（例如环球教育办公室、财务办公室）
